The Capital Gaines Story
What began as a dream during one of the most difficult seasons of life became the foundation for a purpose-driven company centered on storytelling, transformation, and creative empowerment.
While incarcerated, Richard “Ricky” Gaines discovered the life-changing power of books, education, writing, and personal development. During that journey, he wrote and published his first book, Ideas More Powerful Than Force, in 2015. What started as a personal act of healing and self-expression soon grew into a larger vision, creating opportunities for others to share their voices, experiences, ideas, and creativity with the world.
In 2016, Ricky and his wife, Andrea Gaines, founded Capital Gaines LLC with a mission to help individuals and organizations bring their stories, brands, visions, and creative ideas to life. Together, they built the company from the ground up through resilience, determination, faith, and a commitment to empowering others.
What makes Capital Gaines LLC different is that we understand firsthand the power of transformation and storytelling. We are more than a publishing company, we are a creative development company focused on helping people turn ideas into impact. Through publishing, media, branding, storytelling, consulting, and creative development, we help individuals, entrepreneurs, organizations, and communities build meaningful projects that inspire growth, healing, purpose, and legacy.
Today, Capital Gaines LLC continues to expand as a platform dedicated to creativity, empowerment, and opportunity, helping people not only tell their stories, but also develop their vision and create something meaningful that can positively impact others for generations to come.

Richard “Ricky” Gaines
Richard “Ricky” Gaines is an author, publisher, entrepreneur, speaker, and community leader dedicated to helping individuals transform their lives through storytelling, resilience, education, and empowerment.
After writing and publishing his first book while incarcerated, Ricky turned his personal journey into a mission-driven platform focused on publishing, media, mentorship, and community impact.
He is the co-founder of Capital Gaines LLC, founder of the Returning Citizens Association (RCA), and founder of Tapped-In Mediaworks. Through his work, Ricky continues to help individuals reclaim their voices, share their stories, and build meaningful futures
Andrea Gaines
Andrea Gaines is the co-founder of Capital Gaines LLC and the wife of Richard “Ricky” Gaines since 2010. She plays an essential role in the company’s growth, operations, and community engagement efforts.
With a strong passion for helping others and supporting purpose-driven work, Andrea has helped build Capital Gaines LLC into a platform centered on empowerment, creativity, and opportunity.
Her dedication and leadership to supporting individuals, families, and communities continue to help shape the vision and impact of the company.
